This will keep evolving as I think of more movies. I realize some of these are kind of token man movies that almost every guy in his 40s would add to his list. Well, I am what I am. The movies I enjoy most are movies that make me think or even change my perspective on things. Plot twists are great too.

First time I saw parkour in a movie. Also the first time I saw someone get their balls hit with a wet rope and right after that try to have sex to make sure their balls still work. His balls still worked! So cool.

Tom Cruise at his sexiest peak. I miss him with long hair. All the action scenes were better with his long hair flowing through the wind in slow motion.

Just a cool action movie that makes you feel like a real man. Well, maybe it makes you feel like less of a man. That's up to you. I think it probably made women just feel bored.

Very creepy movies with great performances. Another Morgan Freeman narrating movie. "What's in the box?!" Classic.

My favorite Bruce Willis movie. Love a good time travel movie where they find out you can't actually change anything. I think I know how though. You go back in time with the "intention" to do something else and then while trying to do that thing, you do the actual thing you're trying to do. If you fix the thing you "intended" to fix, then you no longer have a reason to go back in time and it'll be like you never time travelled. It's simple.

This movie inspired me to care a little less about how things could go bad and just let go. I even asked out a girl I had a big crush on after watching this. We went on a date too! Just one date.

The Avengers movies are almost all really good. It upsets me that people talk so much trash about them. Just movie snobs. I'm very anti-snob. I ask snobs what they hate and then I get really into that thing in spite of them. Take that, snobs!

Like Saving Private Ryan, this was another accurate depiction of war that really shook me. World War One might have been even crazier than WWII.

I was a big fan of Jet Li for a while. I watched every one of his movies that I could get my hands on. I had to order a bunch of them through the Chinese black market. These movies are like crack cocaine in China. Just kidding.

I think I improved my hundred-yard dash time by 0.8 seconds after watching this movie and ran the 7-mile long Quad City Bix run. I've never run that far again. Maybe I need to rewatch.

Such a feel good movie, I would call it a "Feel Fantastic" movie. Billy Crystal in his prime. Jack Palance is so good in this too.

Love a good plot twist that makes you want to rewatch the whole movie right after you finish it. Anytime I see something red, I'm like, "Wait, am I dead right now?"

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1990 were the 9 year-old boy version of Taylor Swift now. They were HUGE!
My second favorite Christopher Nolan movie. I still get frustrated thinking about that spinning top at the end. JUST TELL US, Christopher!
This is my favorite Christopher Nolan movie. I had a new appreciation for magic, Nikola Tesla, and twins after watching this movie.
I got really into kung fu movies when I was in high school. So much so that I studied Mandarin in college. Most of the kung fu movies I watched were in Cantonese, but this was the first one I saw in Mandarin, so I watched 100s of times practice my Mandarin and to practice running up walls and floating across tree branches.
I'm still disappointed only like half of the stuff in this movie came true. When are the freakin hoverboards coming? Anything with a wheel doesn't count! Get that wheeled crap out of here! Call your local officials and demand them to install magnets under all roads and sidewalks!
First movie that showed what many veterans described as an accurate depiction of the chaos of WWII. This movie made me sure I didn't want to join the military. A recruiter came to my house and I was like "I SAW Saving Private Ryan! Get the F outta here... Sir."
Something about this movie. I mean Morgan Freeman narrating is really what does it. Saying "Andy Dufresne" in Morgan Freeman's voice is always fun. "Aaaanndayy DuuuFreeyyynnn"
This movie blew my mind. Anyone who watches will always wonder if we're really in a simulation. Some people like Elon Musk will take that idea way too far. Just cool it, Elon. You know the guys who wrote that are women now, don't you, Elon? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just saying, I wouldn't be surprised if Elon becomes a woman in a few years.
